Senior Technical Accountant (Part time)

  Central Malta

Our client, a local institution is looking for a Technical Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Technical Manager the responsibilities will be:

  • Stay informed on local and international developments in Financial Reporting, Sustainable Finance, Financial Services, and Gaming.
  • Author papers, guidance, and contribute to Institute publications on technical focus areas.
  • Manage and update relevant sections of the Institute's website e-library.
  • Provide regular technical updates, guidance, and address queries from Institute members and external organizations.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the Institute's Continuous Professional Education Program
  • Prepare and deliver presentations at Institute events, including CPE events, conferences, and information sessions.
  • Participate in training initiatives organized by the Institute.
  • Act as the Institute's Representative for Committees related to Financial Reporting, Sustainable Finance, Financial Services, and Gaming.
  • Attend meetings held by the Institute's Council, Committees, and working groups.
  • Support Council and the CEO to meet their objectives.
  • Represent the Institute in working groups of Accountancy Europe, IFAC, and other national/international institutions.
  • Represent and promote the Institute and the profession at national/international fora, exhibitions, and events.
  • Attend technical meetings with relevant competent authorities as directed.
  • Contribute to and assist in the preparation of the Institute's Annual Report.
  • Collaborate with other Institute employees and representatives to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Undertake any other tasks as requested by the employer.

Requirements

  • Any exposure in Sustainable Finance, Financial Reporting, Direct Taxation, Ethics, Gaming and AML

Education and Experience

  • Possess a local University qualification in Accounting or have completed ACCA
