Our client is seeking a strategic and compassionate Head of Care to lead and expand a new division of an elderly care home. You will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for driving growth, ensuring high-quality standards, and delivering an exceptional care experience for residents.
The Role
- Lead and support care home managers to ensure smooth daily operations and outstanding service.
- Identify and develop opportunities for expansion and long-term growth of the care division.
- Oversee compliance, quality audits, and safeguarding standards to maintain excellent ratings.
- Work with clinical leads to design personalised care programs that combine best practices and modern technologies.
- Build strong relationships with residents and families, ensuring responsive and tailored care.
- Manage budgets, optimise resources, and drive financial sustainability without compromising quality.
- Recruit, mentor, and inspire teams, fostering a culture of empathy, learning, and professional growth.
- Launch initiatives that enhance resident well-being, from wellness programs to premium amenities.
- Oversee emergency response planning, safety strategies, and refurbishment projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in elderly or premium care settings.
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations, safeguarding, and health & safety standards.
- Proven success in multi-site management and stakeholder engagement.
- Skilled in budget management and driving sustainable business growth.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and negotiation skills. Fluency in English and Maltese required.
