Compliance Executive

A client of our, a CSP specialised in the Yachting industry, is looking to onboard a Compliance Executive to join their team:

Duties:

• Conduct customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), ongoing monitoring and risk assessments for new and existing clients.  
• Assist the MLRO in implementing, maintaining and updating the Company’s Compliance and AML/CFT frameworks. 
• Monitor changes in laws, regulations and guidelines, and support the implementation of required updates. 
• Review corporate documentation, ownership structures, and source-of-wealth evidence to ensure regulatory compliance. 
• Maintain internal registers including breach registers, PEP logs, training logs and compliance checklists.  
• Support the MLRO with transaction monitoring, screening reviews, internal reporting and investigations. Policy, Process & Internal Controls
• Support with drafting, reviewing and updating internal policies and procedures, and perform compliance monitoring checks across departments to ensure adherence to internal controls. 
• Ensure proper application of data protection obligations (GDPR) within compliance processes.
• Assist in maintaining accurate compliance files, registers and reports, also supporting with regulatory submissions, ensuring deadlines are met
• Support risk assessment processes including Business Risk Assessment (BRA) and Customer Risk Assessment (CRA). 

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years’ local experience in a similar compliance role within a professional services firm (law, corporate services, accounting) or a regulated industry.
• Experience in CDD/EDD, risk assessments, regulatory reporting and compliance monitoring.
• Solid experience working with or within regulated environments ( AML/CFT, GDPR) is esssential

Education and Experience

• Relevant compliance or AML/CFT certifications
