Our client, a compliance consultancy firm, is seeking to recruit an AML manager. The selected candidate will manage a small team and have the following responsibilities:
- Managing and prioritizing client engagement opportunities and ensuring timely and efficient high quality execution
- Overseeing departmental revenue and costs and ensuring a healthy profitability at fiscal year end
- Playing a key role in CEO led initiatives in order to enhance AML reporting by engaging third party consultants ensuring alignment across departments
- Keeping abreast and recommending the necessary updates following regulatory changes
- Conducting jurisdictional risk assessments and AML/CFT audits
- Drafting and updating AML and compliance policies internally as well as on behalf of clients
- Leading and mentoring a small team of AML Consultants
- Any other duty which may be required from time to time
Requirements
- Minimum three years experience in an AML advisory role. Candidates holding managerial experience within the FIAU will be given preference
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Maltese
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Highly meticulous and organized
- Strong knowledge of AML/CFT laws, regulatory compliance, investigations and audits
- Proven leadership and team management skills
Education and Experience
- Possess a Bachelors Degree in Law or any other related area
