Our client is currently on the lookout for an experienced and driven Senior Compliance Officer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about upholding high standards of regulatory integrity and who thrives in a structured yet dynamic environment.
In this role, you'll be supporting the Regulatory Compliance department with a hands-on approach, helping to shape and reinforce the organisation’s regulatory framework.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the development, rollout, and monitoring of internal policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Carrying out in-depth research and regulatory analysis to support well-informed decision-making within the Compliance team.
- Coordinating and managing the timely preparation and submission of regulatory filings and official responses.
- Reviewing due diligence procedures and documentation to ensure robust and compliant vetting processes.
- Managing the regulatory calendar to stay ahead of reporting deadlines and statutory obligations.
- Assisting with customer reviews as part of wider compliance checks.
- Maintaining accurate, well-organised records for all compliance and legal matters, ensuring documents and reports are easy to access when needed.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a Compliance position, ideally at a senior level.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a structured, analytical way of working.
- A firm grasp of legal and regulatory principles, with the ability to apply them effectively to real-world challenges.
- Proven ability to produce thorough, well-structured documentation and reports.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, along with familiarity with legal or compliance-related software systems.
- A proactive and principled approach to compliance, with demonstrable leadership skills and a strong ethical foundation.
- Prior experience in Credit or Financial Institutions would be highly beneficial, particularly with insight into industry-specific compliance requirements.
Education and Experience
- A degree in Law, Compliance, or a related subject. Additional qualifications such as an LLB, LLM, JD or CCEP are considered a strong asset.
