On behalf of our client, a public company operating in the field of financing, credit facilities and related services, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Compliance & AML Officer for its offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Responsibilities:
Assisting in communicating and cooperating with the CSE and CySEC on regulatory issues
Supporting the monitoring of the company’s compliance with the regulatory framework of the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE), CySEC, and relevant Cypriot legislation for listed companies
Assisting in managing disclosure and reporting obligations
Providing administrative and research support to the Board of Directors on corporate governance and legal compliance matters
Keeping accurate minutes during meetings (full training will be provided for this task)
Monitoring regulatory developments and assisting in updating company policies
Supporting the implementation and review of AML/CFT Policies and Procedures
Performing customer due diligence (KYC/CDD) and onboarding checks
Assisting in identifying and reporting suspicious activities to MOKAS and other authorities
Maintaining and monitoring AML-related records, documents, and reports
Supporting staff training on AML/CFT matters and promoting a compliance culture
Requirements
Willingness to study for and obtain the CySEC Advanced or AML Certificate
Education and Experience
University degree in Law, Economics, Finance, or another related field
Between 1–2 years of experience in Compliance or AML (internships or experience within a financial institution or professional services firm)
