Compliance Specialist

  Central Malta  |  €35,000 - €45,000 Annually 

Our client, operating within the gaming industry is seeking to recruit a Compliance Specialist to join their Compliance team. The selected person will have the following responsibilities:  

  • Keeping abreast of all legal and regulatory requirements and updates within different markets at all times 
  • Updating, drafting and developing multiple compliance related policies and procedures in order to ensure the organization is operating and is in line with all the necessary regulatory requirements  
  • Managing the policy portfolio for the company and implementing a system for periodic review and monitor the abidance with the said policies and procedures 
  • Working closely with other departments and monitor the implementation of any new regulatory requirements and ensure ongoing compliance is in line with any laws and regulations
  • Monitoring and analyzing information on new and updated laws which might impact the business directly including AML/CFT
  • Ensuring the overall operations withing all markets are conducted in a manner which is compliant with all the applicable laws, regulations, professional and internal standards 
  • Supporting the MLRO by identifying AML risks and assisting with AML audits as well as any relevant updates related to JRA, CRA & BRA
  • Assisting with the training of employees on AML/CFT practices 
  • Preparing and submitting applications for new gaming licenses or renewals as the company may require from time to time whilst ensuring a smooth process at all times 
  • Ensuring timely reporting and notification requirements of respective regulatory markets including submissions, returns and filings to various authorities
  • Liaising with external counsel and other third parties on matters related to compliance 
  • Coordinating and carrying out audits and inspections 
  • Any other duty which may be required from time to time

Requirements

  • Minimum three years working experience in a similar role within the gaming industry
  • Highly proficient in English, both verbally and written
  • Ability to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines
  • Possess excellent intrapersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain and handle a high degree of confidentiality
  • Candidates holding experience in MGA and SGA license will be given preference
