Compliance Associate

Your Impact

As a Compliance Associate, you will become a crucial point of support within the team, managing daily compliance queries, maintaining essential records, and helping ensure the organisation consistently meets regulatory expectations. 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Handle daily compliance queries with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring turnaround times and quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Manage regulatory requests from bodies such as the MFSA, FIAU, SMB, Asset Recovery Bureau, and others, ensuring timely and precise submissions.
  • Process due diligence requests from external partners and service providers.
  • Gather evidence and documentation required for complaint investigations and maintain essential compliance registers.
  • Support the execution of the Compliance Monitoring Plan, assisting with ongoing monitoring and thematic reviews.
  • Carry out client screening checks during onboarding and on a continuous basis.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews on Members, Discretionary Fund Managers, Investment Advisory firms, and other third-party relationships.
  • Review internal policies and procedures regularly, helping maintain alignment with evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in regulatory filings, including data collection and reporting preparation.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Compliance team when needed.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in financial services, ideally in a Compliance function.
  • High commitment to quality, accuracy, and regulatory diligence.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Professional, dependable, and committed to maintaining the highest compliance standards.

Education and Experience

  • A compliance qualification will be considered an asset
