Senior Business Development Manager

Our client is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager, who will be reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer,and will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new opportunities within the payments industry while strengthening relationships with existing clients. 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive lead generation efforts and manage the full sales cycle to secure new business opportunities.
  • Execute sales strategies to achieve revenue growth targets in collaboration with the wider Business Development team.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support the enhancement and expansion of the product offering.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client needs to deliver tailored solutions and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Identify market trends and emerging opportunities within the payments and fintech sectors.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking engagements to build visibility and generate leads.
  • Maintain accurate sales data, forecasts, and activity logs within CRM systems.

Requirements:

  • Proven success in business development within the online payments, e-commerce, or fintech industry is a must. 
  • Strong understanding of payment systems, merchant needs, and related technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels and convert opportunities into commercial wins.
  • Target-driven mindset with strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English and Maltese; additional languages are an asset.
