Business Development Manager

  Central Malta  |  €40,000 - €50,000 Annually 

Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager who will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and be responsible for developing and executing short- and long-term sales strategies across a defined product portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, target-driven professional focused on identifying, nurturing, and closing new business opportunities in both local and international markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute short and long-term sales strategies for assigned products and solutions.
  • Identify, nurture, and close new business opportunities in both local and international markets.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams on product enhancements and road map planning, staying informed on technology trends and regulatory developments.
  • Support marketing initiatives by contributing to campaign planning and creating content that boosts brand visibility and lead generation.
  • Represent the company at local and international industry events, conferences, and fairs to expand networks and identify opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to commercial clients and senior public-sector stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline progress, and market insights.
  • Travel as required for client meetings, events, and networking engagements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Information Technology sector, with strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record in promoting and selling technology solutions to senior decision-makers.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a history of achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Residency in Malta and familiarity with the local business landscape.
  • Clean police conduct and a valid driving licence are required.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Maltese and English.
