Business Development Manager

  Central Malta  |  €40,000 - €50,000 Annually 

Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager who will report to the General Manager and play a pivotal role in driving commercial growth within the security solutions sector. This position involves managing a portfolio of existing clients while proactively identifying, engaging, and securing new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a designated portfolio of existing clients, ensuring strong relationships and continued growth.
  • Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities within the security solutions sector.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to support commercial growth targets.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process.
  • Work closely with technical and commercial teams to design and deliver tailored security solutions aligned with client needs.
  • Understand technical requirements and effectively communicate solution value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, product demonstrations, proposals, and agreements.
  • Negotiate terms and close deals while ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitive activity to refine sales strategies.
  • Participate actively in local and international industry events, conferences, and networking activities.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives aimed at strengthening the company’s presence and visibility within the security sector.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales reports, and forecasts as part of ongoing pipeline management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in solution-based selling within the security or related technical sector, with a strong record in client acquisition, account management, and closing complex deals.
  • Ability to manage existing client portfolios while generating new business, supported by strong relationship-building and advisory skills.
  • Solid technical understanding of security solutions and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and cross-functional teams on tailored proposals.
  • Confident representing the company at industry events and supporting marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market trends and client needs.
  • Technical background in electrical, mechanical, or ICT fields and an established network within the security industry are considered advantages.
  • Fluency in English required; Maltese is an asset.
