Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager who will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and be responsible for developing and executing short- and long-term sales strategies across a defined product portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, target-driven professional focused on identifying, nurturing, and closing new business opportunities in both local and international markets.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute short and long-term sales strategies for assigned products and solutions.
Identify, nurture, and close new business opportunities in both local and international markets.
Manage and strengthen relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and delivering tailored solutions.
Collaborate with internal technical teams on product enhancements and road map planning, staying informed on technology trends and regulatory developments.
Support marketing initiatives by contributing to campaign planning and creating content that boosts brand visibility and lead generation.
Represent the company at local and international industry events, conferences, and fairs to expand networks and identify opportunities.
Prepare and deliver presentations to commercial clients and senior public-sector stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline progress, and market insights.
Travel as required for client meetings, events, and networking engagements.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Information Technology sector, with strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field is preferred.
Proven track record in promoting and selling technology solutions to senior decision-makers.
Strong relationship-building skills and a history of achieving sales targets.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Residency in Malta and familiarity with the local business landscape.
Clean police conduct and a valid driving licence are required.
Excellent communication skills in both Maltese and English.
