Senior Risk Officer

We’re looking for a driven Senior Risk Officer, support the Risk Manager, playing a key role in strengthening the Bank’s risk framework. This position is ideal for someone with solid experience in risk assessment within banking or financial services, who is eager to broaden their expertise across all areas of banking risk.

Responsibilities:

• Support daily, weekly, and monthly risk monitoring, identifying trends and escalating emerging risks
• Assist in risk assessments across operations, products, and third parties, ensuring effective controls are in place
• Prepare and validate KRIs and maintain the risk register
• Manage incident reporting and ensure timely resolution
• Produce clear, insightful reports and dashboards for senior management and the Risk Committee

Requirements

• Solid understanding of risk management principles, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• High professional integrity and accountability, able to work independently, escalate issues appropriately, and consistently meet deadlines.
• Well-organized and efficient, with strong communication skills and the ability to both collaborate effectively within a team, and work independently.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to develop expertise across broader risk areas, including operational and credit risk.

Education and Experience

• Diploma in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or a related field would be preferred
• Relevant professional certifications are considered an asset
• 1-2 years of experience in a risk management, related role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector
• Practical exposure to risk management within a financial institution.
