Our client, an innovative organisation in the banking sector, is currently seeking a talented and proactive Risk Manager to join their growing team.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside senior leadership, including the Chief Risk Officer, in safeguarding the financial wellbeing of the institution while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the performance of the loan portfolio, analysing key metrics such as approvals, collections, credit quality, and defaults, and presenting findings to internal committees.
- Support the assessment of risk and expected credit losses related to investments, ensuring all activities remain compliant with financial covenants.
- Generate regular reports to track portfolio behaviour against key risk indicators and ensure alignment with the institution’s risk appetite.
- Participate in the assessment of risk associated with new product initiatives.
- Contribute to the preparation of the ICAAP, ILAAP, and Recovery Plan documentation, and take part in stress testing exercises affecting the balance sheet.
- Assist with risk assessments of outsourced functions and help update relevant risk policies as necessary.
- Provide analytical support and reporting for the Credit, Reserving, and Risk Committees.
- Stay informed on changes in financial regulations and assess their potential impact on the risk management framework.
- Help identify and refine tools and techniques for measuring and reporting on various risk types.
- Assist with the drafting of disclosures related to capital and risk management in the audited financial statements.
- Handle ad hoc tasks and assist with emerging business needs as required.

Requirements
- Strong knowledge of risk management practices and a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic banking regulatory landscape.
- A minimum of 3 years in a comparable role within a bank's risk management division or banking advisory/consultancy is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- The ability to work effectively within a team and a dynamic international environment.
- A strong interest in fintech and a desire to stay informed about industry developments.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A proactive and meticulous approach to your work.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in financial services, economics, econometrics, risk management, statistics, business management, or a related discipline.
