A client of ours in the Banking sector is looking to recruit a Regulatory Reporting Officer to join their growing finance team. The candidate will play a significant role in statutory reporting while driving automation and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Liquidity & COREP statutory reporting.
Preparing the Weekly Liquidity Reporting
Preparing the Balance of Payment Statistics.
Downloading the daily Additional Monitoring Matrix reports.
Producing the daily loan to deposit ratio for the Bank’s senior management.
Testing of new IT systems and updates to reflect the changes in regulations and returns.
Forming part of the project team to implement the new system to automate Regulatory reporting.
Keeping abreast with European Banking regulations, interpreting and applying them.
Liaising with IT staff regarding staff data requirements for statutory reporting.
Meeting tight deadlines for the Statutory Reporting through the submission of reporting deadlines
Together with the Statutory Reporting Manager, represents the Bank on the Technical Committee of the MFSA as required from time to time
Other ad hoc reporting
Requirements
Proficiency in Excel
Previous local experience in finance/regulatory environment
Analytical with attention to detail
Fluent in written and spoken Maltese and English
Education and Experience
Ideally holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics, Banking, Finance or related qualification
