Investments Advisor

  Central Malta  |  €20,000 - €35,000 Annually 

A leading financial institution is looking to recruit an Investments Advisor to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage client investment portfolios and provide tailored investment advice within bank guidelines.
  • Actively engage in acquiring new clients for investment, insurance, and pension products.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and risk control procedures, taking corrective action to address any deficiencies and reporting to the Compliance Manager.
  • Meet regulatory and compliance requirements for assigned clients and their investment portfolios.
  • Stay informed about economic and investment trends, contributing to internal research within the Investment Distribution Unit.
  • Participate in the Investment Distribution Committee when required.
  • Expand the client database through effective networking and customer acquisition strategies.
  • Identify potential high-value transactions exceeding authorized limits and refer leads to the Private Clients section.
  • Prepare and submit reports, supervise projects, and assist with unit business planning and budgeting.
  • Maintain compliance with bank policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Support superiors in preparing business plans and budgets as needed.
  • Handle standard office tasks including mail processing, phone calls, supply ordering, and filing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • Conversant with the Investments Regulatory environment
  • Ideally has previous local working experience in the Investment field but fresh graduates will also be considered
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Maltese
  • Willing to work on Saturdays

Education and Experience

  • Holds a benchmark qualification recognised by the MFSA in order to hold an Investment Advisory license. However candidates who are yet to read for their DIPFA would still be considered
  • A degree in Banking, Insurance or a related field
