Our client is looking for a Operations Coordinator to join their Operations Team, with a primary focus on managing bunker supplies. They will collaborate closely with the Sales Department and other key stakeholders throughout the logistics chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all operational activities are conducted in full compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Plan and schedule cargo movements while coordinating operations efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of cargo movements.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely reporting.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including terminals, shipping lines, and cargo surveyors.
- Schedule and coordinate barge loadings and cargo deliveries.
- Provide support to other internal departments as required.
Requirements
- An A Level qualification or equivalent. While formal education is valued, a strong track record of performance and the right behavioural attributes are more important.
- Knowledge and experience in supply chain logistics, particularly in fuel products, cargo handling, barge scheduling, and bunker deliveries, is preferred.
- Familiarity with local procedures and documentation requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive, assertive, and collaborative team player.
- Strong analytical thinking with sound commercial awareness.
