Front Desk Clerk

  Central Malta  |  €20,000 - €24,000 Annually 

Our client is looking to recruit a Front Desk Clerk to join their growing team. The chosen candidate will:

  • Welcome and assist visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Handle incoming telephone calls, directing them to the appropriate person or department; take and relay accurate messages as needed.
  • Respond to general inquiries via phone, email, or in person in a prompt and helpful manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area at all times.
  • Respond to emails professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Perform general office filing and maintain accurate physical and digital records.
  • Input data accurately into internal and external systems.
  • Create, update, and manage spreadsheets and reports as required.
  • Track messages, tasks, and follow-ups using a structured approach.
  • Coordinate bookings for sea, air, and road transport.
  • Check and verify shipment documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Organize and follow up on collections and deliveries.
  • Maintain communication with clients and third parties to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and independently, within a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly, professional, proactive and client-focused attitude
  • Strong dedication to task management, maintaining to-do lists, and ensuring timely follow-ups

Education and Experience

  • Excellent command of both Maltese and English language, both written and spoken
  • Previous experience in a front office, administrative, or logistics-related role
