Our client is seeking to recruit for a Tax Team Leader.
Duties include:
Managing a small team of tax professionals and dealing with clients and tax authorities on a daily basis.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax returns and related filings.
Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff, providing leadership and training.
Stay updated on local and international tax laws and advise clients accordingly.
Ensuring clients are continuously in compliance with income tax legislation.
assisting with business development initiatives.
Develop and implement strategies to grow the tax service line.
Collaborate with marketing teams to promote tax services through seminars, webinars, and other channels.
Conduct research to identify new opportunities and enhance service offerings.
Requirements
A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role is required.
Strong knowledge of Maltese income tax-related matters is essential, including but not limited to the Maltese tax regimes such as the tax payment and refund mechanism and fiscal unity, capital gains tax, notional interest deduction, and double taxation relief.
A good understanding of the international tax climate is expected,
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken is a must.
Local experience is a must
Education and Experience
Candidates must be fully qualified either by holding a master’s in accountancy degree from the University of Malta or an ACCA qualification.
