Are you a motivated and detail-oriented professional who can take on a Tax Assistant Manager role, supporting tax advisory services, managing client engagements, supervising junior team members, and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of tax services?
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Tax Assistant Manager to join their dynamic tax team in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Responsibilities:
• Support the Senior Tax Manager in delivering tax advisory and consultation services, mainly on direct tax matters
• Review tax memorandums for both corporate and individual clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Guide and supervise junior team members in preparing tax computations and related deliverables
• Communicate with tax authorities on behalf of clients to resolve queries and obtain required certificates and clearances
• Oversee the preparation and submission of personal and corporate tax returns, ensuring deadlines are met
• Conduct research on tax legislation and developments to ensure compliance with current and upcoming regulations
• Prepare and review tax-related reports, letters, and opinions for clients and relevant authorities
• Assist with transfer pricing projects, including reviewing documentation and supporting benchmarking analysis
• Manage client portfolios, ensuring high-quality service and maintaining strong client satisfaction
• Support the team with additional duties as required by management
Requirements:
• ACA/ACCA qualified with a University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4–6 years of relevant experience within an audit firm, tax practice, or similar environment
• Previous experience in supervising or reviewing the work of junior team members
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English
• Knowledge of Russian or any additional language will be considered an advantage
• Comfortable with IT systems and adaptable to new technologies
• High level of integrity with a proactive, positive approach
