Due to expanding their portfolio, our client a small-medium sized CSP is looking to recruit a Senior Client Accountant to join their team. If you excel in building and maintaining client relationships, this is the role for you!
Responsibilities:
- Managing your own portfolio of clients with professionalism and care
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts, then presenting insights directly to clients
- Liaising with auditors and ensuring audit readiness
- Preparing budgets and forecasts, supporting clients with strategic planning
- Overseeing and reviewing VAT returns and payroll computations
- Analyzing financial data to produce meaningful reports for both clients and internal use
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members, including reviewing their work and planning workflows
- Identifying opportunities to improve internal processes and client service delivery
- Advising clients on financial and operational issues with practical, proactive solutions
- Staying up to date with regulatory changes to provide informed, compliant advice
Requirements
- 3–5 years of local experience in a similar role
- Solid understanding of Maltese accounting standards, VAT, and tax regulations
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple client needs
- A Maltese driver’s license is considered a plus
Education and Experience
- In advanced stages of ACCA or equivalent
