Senior Client Accountant

  Central Malta  |  €35,000 - €42,000 Annually 

A boutique CSP is currently on the lookout for a Senior Client Accountant to join their team

Duties include: 

  • Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in transactions.
  • Maintain, update, and review general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct thorough bank reconciliations and verify the integrity of financial data.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare, analyse, and present management reports, offering insights and recommendations.
  • Coordinate and supervise the preparation of comprehensive financial statements.
  • Liaise with tax and audit teams, providing essential financial information and support for assigned clients.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and stay abreast of new industry practices and standards.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel
  • Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Education and Experience

  • Fully qualified through ACCA
