Senior Accounts Executive

  Central Malta  |  Up to €28,000 Annually 

A large company operating in the Hospitality sector is looking for a Senior Accounts Executive to join their team:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform key reconciliations including bank, balance sheet, intercompany, and all hotel revenue streams.
  • Oversee accounts payable/receivable and ensure correct posting of revenues from PMS, POS, and other systems.
  • Monitor F&B cost of sales, inventory, stock controls, and support menu costing and budgeting.
  • Ensure compliance with Maltese accounting standards and handle VAT, ECO tax, and other regulatory submissions.
  • Support year-end closing, audits, and maintain strong internal controls over cash, purchasing, and credit procedures.
  • Analyse financial performance, investigate discrepancies, and provide insights to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with operational departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Procurement) to support financial decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and liaise with IT for updates to Opera, Micros, and other systems.
  • Communicate effectively within the finance team, assist the Director of Finance, meet tight deadlines, and support departmental training and improvements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of previous local experience in a similar role
  • Maltese speaking candidates will be given preference
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience

  • O'level in Accounts or better
