Senior Accounting Executive

Working closely with the Head of Finance, you’ll be an essential pillar of the department, ensuring the smooth running of core accounting functions while contributing to ongoing improvements and insightful reporting.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support the Head of Finance in the day-to-day processing of financial data and in preparing both regular and ad-hoc reports that aid business decisions.
• Handle month-end procedures, including posting closing entries and ensuring accounts are accurate and up to date.
• Take full ownership of the fixed asset register, keeping it current and ensuring correct accounting treatment across all assets.
• Oversee and guide Accounts Clerks/Officers in their work on the purchase ledger, including supplier reconciliations and payment batches.
• Prepare routine statutory reports such as VAT returns and NSO submissions.
• Assist external auditors during annual audits by preparing information, clarifications, and supporting documentation.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance function by supporting additional tasks and improvements as needed.

Requirements

• A strong foundation in accounting (minimum A-Level standard in Accounts).
• Solid experience working within an accounting team, preferably in a reputable or structured environment.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a definite advantage.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A team-spirited, dependable approach with the ability to work independently when needed.
