Our client, well established within the financial services industry is seeking to recruit for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities, as well as assisting in the preparation of VAT returns and monthly management accounts.
Duties include:
Lead and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidations in line with relevant accounting standards
Oversee the preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Perform detailed variance analysis.
Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate journal postings.
Liaise with external auditors and support the audit process.
Review and streamline accounting processes to enhance efficiency.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry requirements.
Assisting in the preparation of Vat Returns
Prepare and review annual, semi-annual financial statements in preparation for Annual and half yearly financial statements
Assisting in any other ad-hoc reporting as it may be required
Requirements
Candidates must be fully ACCA qualified
3 years of experience within accounting and finance role is required
Leadership experience is also required for this role
Consolidation experience will be considered an asset
