Our client, a leading CSP is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will be outsourced to one of their esteemed clients, offering a dynamic and rewarding opportunity.
Main responsibilities :
Compilation of financial statements and management accounts in accordance with IFRS/GAPSME and the Maltese Companies Act
Preparation and filing of income tax returns
Preparation and submission of VAT returns
Managing correspondence with the Maltese tax authorities
Conducting variance analysis and evaluating accounting ratios
Providing additional reports as requested by management
Collaborating closely with senior management
Supervising, coaching, mentoring, reviewing, and supporting junior finance staff
Coordinating with external auditors during the annual financial audit
Ensuring timely submissions and compliance with deadlines
Participating in internal training sessions for staff
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting
In-depth knowledge of Maltese income tax and VAT legislation
Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office tools
