Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our client that operates in the Investment Services sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations of the Group of Companies which include local and foreign registered entities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the Group of Companies, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger;
• Budgetary planning and control, especially cost control, including liaising with the various budget owners and being pro-active in addressing any deviations from budgets;
• The day-to-day Cash Flow of the Group Companies
• Financial record keeping of the Group Companies;
• Preparation of quarterly VAT returns;
• Preparation of quarterly and annual regulatory returns for the group’s regulated Companies;
• Assisting with the preparation of the annual group consolidation workings;
• Coordinating and liaising with the group’s statutory auditors;
• Coordinating and overseeing any tax related matters with the group’s tax advisors;
• Oversight responsibility for payroll in relation to the Group Companies;
• Preparation of periodic management accounts and presentation to the various boards including monitoring of key KPIs;
• Being an integral part of maintaining and improving the group’s internal control environment;
• Assist the operations team with the overall oversight and administration of the ultimate beneficial owner’s financial matters.

Requirements

• Around 5 years of previous local experience in accounting
• Experience working in the financial services sector will be preferred
• Knowledge of Italian is considered an asset
• Able to adapt and work independently

Education and Experience

• Fully-qualified or actively studying ACCA
