Our client a large well-established manufacturing company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis of 12 months and support with developing and maintaining accounting processes to consistently deliver accurate and timely financial statements.
Responsibilities:
• Take ownership of the preparation of accurate and timely periodic reports.
• Own the Internal Control process – perform self-assessments and support audits.
• Mentor Finance team members on the company’s policies, financial reporting systems and general ledger structure.
• Monitor and analyze workflows within the Finance function to design and implement more efficient procedures and use of
resources.
• Manage the company’s compliance risk status through effective management of statutory deadlines and other obligations
• Carry out a rigorous review and reconciliation process for the General Ledger and Balance Sheet to ensure a compliance month end close.
• Provide information and compile reports as necessary on financial performance, financial position, and cash flow of the business.
• Manage cash and banking requirements.
• Forecast cash flow and implement FX hedging.
• Advise on tax and treasury implications of management decisions including the accounting requirements thereof.
• Assist the Sales teams with various requirements in the tendering process for new contracts including coordination of issuing Bank Guarantees as required.
