On behalf of our client, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Semi - Senior Accountant to join their team. In this role, you’ll manage financial records, support bookkeeping, and collaborate with their Accounting Manager. This role offers hands-on experience and growth in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Oversee accounting and bookkeeping activities for a portfolio of clients with minimal supervision
Ensure the accuracy and timely maintenance of financial records in line with applicable standards
Carry out reconciliations for sales, receivables, purchases, payables, VAT, Social Insurance, and bank accounts
Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns, VIES forms, and associated reconciliations
Process and verify monthly payroll calculations for clients
Contribute to the preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and regular client reports
Provide support in developing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
Track financial performance and identify variances in comparison to approved budgets
Maintain compliance with internal controls, statutory obligations, and professional standards
Support VAT, Tax, and Social Insurance registrations for companies
Compile and submit required documentation to relevant authorities
Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear, proactive communication
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2 to 4 years of professional experience in a relevant role
ACCA certification or actively pursuing ACCA qualification
Knowledge of VAT regulations, Social Insurance, and Tax compliance
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., E-soft, Odoo)
Strong analytical thinking and organizational abilities
Proven ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure
Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills in both Greek and English
High integrity with a positive, can-do attitude
