Our client, a well-established Company, specialised within Business Support Services is looking to onboard an Accounts Officer to join their team. The designated person will be reporting to the Finance Manager, and responsibilities are as follows:
Duties:
Verify the accuracy of billing information to minimise errors or discrepancies in invoices. This involves cross-checking orders, contracts, and sales records to ensure consistency.
Maintain up-to-date customer information, including billing addresses and contact details in the billing system.
Generate accurate and timely invoices for products or services provided to customers.
Address customer enquiries and concerns related to invoices, promptly and professionally,
Maintain detailed records of billing activities and ensure that all documentation is well organised and easily accessible.
Prepare regular reports for management that provide insight into billing performance.
Perform all required end-of-month billing activities, including finalising and issuing monthly invoices, reconciling accounts, reviewing outstanding balances, and ensuring all billing data is complete and accurate
Update the billing system with any changes in customer rates, contract pricing, or service fees.
Actively contribute to the company’s upcoming digital transformation initiatives, including system upgrades, automation projects, and the adoption of new digital tools, providing input on process design and support testing
Assist with wider finance-department activities as required, such as reconciliations, audit preparation, data analysis, financial reporting support, and ad-hoc operational tasks aligned with departmental goals.
Requirements
Comfortable working with financial data and reporting requirements.
Able to manage deadlines effectively.
Demonstrated experience in billing, invoicing, or accounts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and ideally in Maltese
Confident using billing platform, and Microsoft Excel.
Education and Experience
Must hold a relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
