Management Accountant

One of our clients within the construction industry are looking for a Management Accountant to join the team.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts 
• Analysis of management accounts figures and compilation of various KPIs
• Compiling of various reports in order to ensure that figures presented in the management accounts reflect a true view of the company's performance
• Compilation of accruals and prepayments
• Various journal preparation relating to depreciation, closing and opening inventory
• Assisting in the budgeting process which is done on a yearly basis
• Assisting external auditors with any queries during the audit of the companies
•  Submission of Quarterly VAT Returns
• Overseeing the process of monthly stock takes
• Assisting junior staff members with daily queries.

Requirements

• Experience in a manufacturing environment will be considered as an asset
• Liaising with the production team is a must
• Knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards and regulations
• The ability to clearly and coherently explain financial information to users
• Accuracy and commitment for deadlines

Education and Experience

• University degree in Accounting/ACCA Qualification
