Junior Accountant

  Central Malta  |  €32,000 - €35,000 Annually 

A client of ours specialising in Construction and Engineering is looking to onboard a Junior Accountant to join their team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support Accounts Executives in ensuring accurate and efficient recording of financial data
  • Contribute to the streamlining of key accounting processes
  • Assist in the implementation and review of internal controls
  • Aid in the preparation of monthly management accounts 
  • Perform bank and control account reconciliations
  • Monitor and manage cash flow
  • Analyse financial data to evaluate the company’s financial performance
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget and relevant forecasting
  • Collaborate with IT departments to enhance financial automation and reporting systems
  • Maintain strong relationships with external auditors and ensure audit preparation is carried out in a timely manner.
  • Provide assistance to Group Management as required

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of previous experience in an accounting role
  • Able to work with tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an asset however not a requirement

Education and Experience

  • Actively studying ACCA; in their initial stages
