Internal Audit Manager

  Central Malta  |  €50,000 - €60,000 Annually 

Our client in the Retail Industry is looking to recruit an Internal Audit Manager to join their team. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting the Group Chief Internal Auditor with leading, developing and managing the team
  • Ensuring that the team is adhering to the standards and procedures 
  • Assisting the audit team in conducting risk assessments of the auditable area
  • Conducting audit testing which helps identify issues and risks
  • Prepare a detailed report on the area under audit, setting out recommendations for enhancing business practices. The aim is to strengthen corporate governance, improve risk management, and establish effective internal control frameworks across the Group
  • Carrying out follow-up reviews on Internal Audit recommendations to confirm that Management has implemented the agreed corrective measures within the established timeframes 
  • Conduct periodic spot checks and deliver advisory support to Management to enhance the efficiency of the structures, systems, and processes
  • Handling internal investigation 
  • Assisting with other internal audit projects  

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience working in Internal Audit locally, in a similar industry
  • Excellent verbal and written English

Education and Experience

  • Fully Qualified Accountant and/or Auditor
