A reputable client of ours, specialised within the Finance and Corporate sector is currently looking to onboard a Head of Indirect Tax to join their team of professionals:
Duties:
Lead the strategic development and positioning of the Company’s Indirect Tax services.
Act as the principal contact for clients on all Indirect Tax matters, proactively identifying client needs, delivering tailored advice, and maintaining ongoing communication
Align the Indirect Tax roadmap with both the Company’s long-term objectives and global goals, ensuring cross-functional integration and consistency.
Manage a diverse portfolio of clients with an emphasis on indirect tax compliance, advisory, and planning; overseeing billing and collections within firm policies.
Prepare and present financial budgets, forecasts, and performance reports for the Indirect Tax function
Develop and communicate a strong value proposition and go-to-market plan specifically for Indirect Tax services.
Collaborate closely with other tax leaders and managers to deliver integrated tax solutions across disciplines.
Liaise with other specialist service lines within the Company to provide holistic advice to clients on broader business and regulatory issues affected by indirect tax
Identify opportunities and risks related to indirect tax; advising the Board accordingly while exercising sound judgment within agreed parameters.
Be responsible for the further growth and the development of the Company, including strengthening existing service lines and growing new business areas.
Requirements
Solid local experience, (ideally also having international exposure) working in a similar role, within the financial sector
Must have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in English, and ideally in Maltese
An exemplary team leader with the ability to work independently as well a spart of a team
Education and Experience
Must hold relevant Taxation and Financial qualifications
