Head of Finance

We are currently looking for an experienced Head of Finance to join a reputable client of ours, specialised in the Aviation sector. The designated person will be working closely with Senior Management and the Board, and responsibilities are as follows:

Duties:

• Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, audits, and statutory obligations (VAT, payroll, etc.), providing hands-on support when necessary.
• Implement and maintain preventive and review controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with Senior Management and various teams to align and implement financial and business strategies.
• Liaise with and support external auditors, preparing financial statements as required.
• Lead the budgeting and cash flow forecasting process.
• Drive the implementation of finance-related projects and process improvements.
• Continuously review and enhance finance and accounting procedures and policies.
• Prepare and present quarterly and annual financial performance reports to the Board.
• Conduct financial analysis to forecast performance and support decision-making.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years + working in a similar senior role
• Must have excellent verbal and communication skills in English, as well as commendable interpersonal skills
• Proven track record in leading teams and fostering the development of finance professionals.
• Experience in change management is highly desirable, as the finance function is expected to undergo substantial transformation in its systems, processes, and procedures over the coming years.

Education and Experience

• Holds a university degree in finance or a related discipline, and/or a recognised professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA)
