Head of Client Accounting

Our client a boutique CSP would like a Head of Accounting to lead a team 

Responsibilities: 

• Lead the Accounts & Tax department, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and team performance
• Manage local and international client portfolios across accounting, VAT, tax, and advisory services
• Review financial statements, management accounts, VAT returns, tax computations, and compliance deliverables
• Advise clients on Maltese and international tax matters, EU directives, transfer pricing, and financial reporting obligations
• Provide accounting, tax, and business advisory support across various industries
• Support business development initiatives, client proposals, and relationship management
• Mentor and develop accounting and tax professionals through guidance and training
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting and tax legislation while driving operational improvements and efficiencies

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience within accounting and taxation, preferably within a professional services environment
• Proficiency in English; Maltese considered an asset
• Previous experience leading and mentoring teams
• • Strong knowledge of Maltese accounting standards, VAT legislation, Maltese tax legislation, EU directives, and cross-border issues

Education and Experience
