As Group Financial Controller, you will oversee all financial operations across multiple outlets, guide a talented finance team, and play a key role in steering the company’s long-term success.
What You’ll Be Doing
- In this role, you will take full ownership of the group’s financial performance, leading, mentoring, and developing the Finance Team while ensuring smooth daily operations.
- You’ll manage treasury activities and banking relationships, maintain strong internal controls, and deliver accurate reporting that supports strategic decisions.
- You will oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, statutory submissions, VAT and Eco Contribution filings, and all audit-related processes.
- Month-end responsibilities include posting accruals, prepayments, provisions, and depreciation, as well as reviewing reconciliations across bank accounts, debtors, creditors, and payroll.
- Your expertise will drive the budgeting and forecasting cycle, financial modelling, variance analysis, and performance reporting presented to senior leadership.
- Play a key role in stock control, cost-of-sales monitoring, and improving procurement practices.
- From managing loan facilities and covenant reporting to ensuring impeccable bookkeeping and financial compliance across the group, you’ll be the financial heartbeat keeping everything aligned, efficient, and forward-thinking.
Who You Are
- You have proven experience as a Financial Controller or Group Financial Controller, ideally within the hospitality sector,
- Have a solid understanding of multi-outlet accounting, stock systems, and cost structures.
- You’re a fully qualified accountant through ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent, with strong analytical skills and hands-on experience managing banking and financing arrangements.
- You’re a natural leader, organised, communicative, and driven, with the ability to motivate your team while maintaining exceptional accuracy and control.
- Advanced Excel and ERP experience are essential.
