You’ll be the guardian of cash integrity: ensuring every envelope, deposit, and reconciliation is handled with the highest level of care and professionalism.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Daily Cash Handling & Control
  • Collect, count, and verify the contents of all cashiers’ daily envelopes with precision.
  • Issue acknowledgements and record all checklists and documents in the General Cashier’s Daily Report.
  • Prepare and organise daily bank deposits, ensuring every cent is accounted for.
  • Reimburse cashiers for approved disbursements and reconcile all movement from the assigned cash float.
  • Perform regular spot-checks on cashier floats to ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Reconcile bank statements with the financial accounting system and investigate discrepancies promptly.
  • Provide the Front Office with up-to-date foreign exchange rates.
  • Follow up with the Night Auditor on overages/shortages and escalate unresolved issues.
  • Prepare the General Cashier’s Daily Report with full accuracy.
  • Ensure cash-handling protocols are strictly followed, especially securing the office and safe at all times during cash counts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to follow structured processes.
  • Strong numerical skills and comfort working with reconciliations.
  • Good communication skills when liaising with finance management and cashiering staff.
  • Ability to work independently while upholding strict internal controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience in accounting systems is an asset.
  • Ability to remain calm, methodical, and focused in a busy hospitality environment.
