Our client is a diversified organization operating across the automotive glazing, luxury jewellery, and corporate services sectors. They have now set up an operations office in Malta. They would like to engage a Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to handle the strategic financial area of all the international group.
The Role
The position provides senior financial leadership across a diverse multi entity group.
It focuses on delivering high-level strategic guidance rather than handling day to day financial operations.
The role involves overseeing the transition of finance functions to offshore operations while maintaining reporting continuity.
A key responsibility is managing and advising on transfer pricing and intercompany financial arrangements.
The CFO will support strategic preparation of multiple businesses for future exits or investment opportunities.
You will guide budgeting, capital allocation, and cashflow management across different business units.
The role includes advising directors on financial structure and long term value creation strategies.
Ensuring compliance with Maltese financial and tax regulations is a core part of the position. However the candidate would need to understand tax regimes of countries such as that of the UK.
You will collaborate with external advisors such as auditors, accountants, and legal professionals.
You will also contribute to board discussions, lead due diligence for acquisitions, and support wealth allocation decisions.
Working number of hours 15 to 20 hrs
Requirements
The candidate must be a qualified accountant with significant senior finance or CFOlevel experience, ideally in multi-entity or international structures.
They should have expertise in transfer pricing, M&A, and financial strategy, along with strong communication skills.
Being a Malta tax resident is a mandatory requirement for the role.
Have knowledge of the UK tax system will be considered as a strong asset
