Our client, is looking for a Financial Controller to work within one of the largest units within the company. This is an interesting role which focuses on more than just the day to day duties.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with operational teams to gather the information needed to assess financial performance and identify ways to improve profitability.
Collaborate with the cost-control function to review spending, analyse variances, and highlight opportunities to reduce costs, while also strengthening the connection between cost control and finance.
Monitor departmental overheads against budget and introduce new methods, systems, or efficiency ideas to lower overall expenses.
Improve and manage internal processes, including digitalising workflows wherever practical.
Coordinate with other departments to maintain clear oversight of the cash-flow cycle.
Compile, prepare, and interpret financial reports, budgets, and accounting information.
Produce cash-flow forecasts, assess funding requirements, and determine available resources for future use.
Analyse operational changes and advise management on the most suitable actions to take.
Contribute to long-term planning and strategic discussions, including supporting the preparation of the company’s annual budget.
Present financial updates and performance results to senior leadership and advisory committees.
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar role especially in IFRS reporting, Management Accounting and Budgeting
