Financial Controller

Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller with a hospitality background to lead the accounting function for its hospitality operations. 

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to ensure financial targets are achieved.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and provide actionable insights and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local financial, tax, and statutory regulations
• Manage audits and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
• Oversee cash flow management and working capital optimization.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting systems to safeguard hotel assets.
•  Drive improvements in processes, accounting policies and internal controls. 
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership to support business decisions with financial insights, while also working with internal and external partners in delivering the business’ objectives.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is essential.
• The role demands excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and communicate with key stakeholders at all levels.
• Candidates must be fully locally qualified accountants

Education and Experience

• Candidates must hold ACCA or equivalent.
