Our client, in the hospitality industry, is looking to employ a Financial Controller to join their finance team.

What you’ll be doing
- Take ownership of all financial operations, from budgeting and forecasting to financial reporting, ensuring everything runs smoothly and in line with regulations.
- Design and implement strategies that optimise revenue, manage costs, and maximise profitability.
- Provide meaningful insights through financial analysis, helping the team make well-informed, strategic decisions.
- Manage core accounting functions such as accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
- Partner with department heads to align financial goals with wider business objectives.
- Safeguard the business by overseeing internal controls and ensuring compliance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, government grants, and incentives that support growth in the hospitality sector.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of financial management experience, ideally with hospitality exposure, or a Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- A strong grasp of hotel financial operations, including revenue management and cost control.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, with the talent to translate numbers into stories for non-financial stakeholders.
- Familiarity with financial systems and software.
