Financial Controller

Our client operating in the Hospitality industry is looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join to manage the finance team and oversee the financial operations of the companies within the group.

Responsibilities:

• Forecasting cash needs and alerting management to shortfalls.
• Acting as liaison with auditors, implementing reporting changes, and presenting findings.
• Ensuring compliance with tax, permit, and licensing requirements.
• Monitoring internal controls, approving large invoices, and collaborating on process design.
• Supporting budgeting with historical data, trend analysis, and variance reporting
• Identifying and mitigating financial risks, training staff, and safeguarding assets.
• Preparing accurate financial reports and analyses for directors and senior management.
• Reviewing monthly/quarterly performance data.
• Driving cost-saving and efficiency initiatives by evaluating operations and resources.
• Ensuring timely external reporting, tax preparation, and auditor support.

Requirements

• Previous local experience in a senior position within the Hospitality industry locally
• Experience using Oracle and Opera
• A meticulous, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical capabilities and leadership skills

Education and Experience

• Fully qualified through ACCA or equivalent. Candidates in the last stages of ACCA will also be considered, although not preferred.
