Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Financial Controller to play a strategic part within the company. The selected candidate will act as a financial advisor to the Directors and work on improving the processes in place.
Responsbilities:
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting aligned with strategic objectives.
- Manage audits, regulatory reporting, and ensure compliance with Maltese laws and MFSA requirements.
- Produce insightful financial reports to support executive decision-making.
- Lead cost-control initiatives and identify opportunities for savings.
- Streamline accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and maintain clear financial policies.
- Explore funding options to support growth and expansion.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, vendors, and service partners.
- Advise directors on financial strategy, policies, and key business decisions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior position. Candidates with manufacturing experience will be given preference.
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems will be considered an asset
- Solid understanding of Maltese company law, particularly in the context of compliance and listed company standards
Education and Experience
- ACCA qualified ideally warranted or relevant qualifications from the University of Malta
