Our client, an international company is looking for a Financial Controller to join their growing organizational structure. This person will be overseeing the accounting function and ensuring records are kept appropriately
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the annual financial statements and annual budget.
- Oversee and review the preparation of the monthly management accounts and forecasts.
- Oversee and review the weekly rolling cashflow.
- Oversee the month end process, identifying and implementing suggestions for improvement to further streamline reporting.
- Review the VAT returns, tax computations and tax returns.
- Review the intra-group transactions and balances.
- Oversee the preparation of bank reconciliations.
- Liaise with internal and external audits to ensure smooth running of audits.
- Ensure accounting records are appropriately maintained.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures, identifying and implementing suggestions for improvements to ensure robust and suitable policies and controls in line with best practice.
- Ensure compliance with the Capital Market Rules in reporting matters
- Provide leadership and support to the accounting team to enhance and promote development and growth.
- Prepare any ad hoc reporting as may be requested by the management
Requirements
- A minimum 5 years of local experience in a similar role up to the preparation of budgeting, forecasting etc
- Experience with consolidations
- Strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English
Education and Experience
- Fully-qualified through ACCA or equivalent
