Our client is seeking to recruit for a Financial Accountant. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting, book-keeping and invoicing procedures, as well as the preparation of management accounts which will be reviewed by the CFO.
The individual will have the opportunity of collaborating with the senior leadership team in respect of financial reporting and budgeting.
Duties include:
- Issuing sales invoices for bills and issue recurring bills accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
- Process and pay invoices promptly, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts to provide insights into the company's financial position.
- Handle VAT returns and VAT recaps, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Prepare management accounts, including financial statements and reports under the supervision of our CFO
- Manage salary payments (payroll is computed by a 3rd party) as well as payments due to the Commissioner for Revenue, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Reconcile debtor balances and follow-up on receipt of balances due.
- Reconcile creditors and request statements.
- Collaborate with auditors during the audit process, providing necessary support and assistance.
Requirements
- Experience in management accounts is required
- Candidates must hold sound knowledge of IFRS
- Capable of working in a fast pace environment
- Proficient in using XERO or MS Microsoft application
- Local experience is required
