Our client in the retail sector is seeking to appoint a Finance Officer to join their team, with responsibilities evenly split between payroll and general accounting functions.
Main responsibilities include :
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
- Assist the Accounting team with data entry, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Process supplier payments and verify invoices are handled promptly and correctly
- Keep well-organized and precise financial records for an active development project
- Track budgets and expenses, identifying and reporting any discrepancies
- Coordinate with external accountants, vendors, and HR as necessary
- Support the preparation of documentation for audits, tax submissions, and monthly closings
Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Experience with large-scale or complex projects is an advantage
Education and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in payroll processing and general accounting
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and payroll systems
- Experience using payroll systems such as Shireburn
