A client of ours specialised within the Finance and Corporate sectors, is urgently looking to onboard a Finance Manager to join their team of professionals. The designated person will be reporting to the COO and responsibilities are as follows:
Duties:.
Oversee and manage general accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and systems.
Supervise the preparation of VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, overseeing the preparation of year-end financial statements, also managing the audit process
Prepare financial and management reports, variance analysis, and other financial documentation for senior management, and manage regulatory compliance on a quarterly basis, or as required by the Board.
Oversee the maintenance of accounting records in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Prepare budgets, collaborating with various departments to ensure alignment with organisational goals, as well as handling the preparation of cash flow forecast statements to support financial planning and decision-making.
Assist in formulating the department’s direction and strategic initiatives in line with Group strategy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and improve the accuracy of financial reporting.
Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, contributing to improved financial efficiency and effectiveness.
Liaise regularly with banks, external auditors, advisors and regulatory authorities.
Ensure adherence to established filing systems and records retention policies, maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Train and mentor finance team members as required, offering guidance on best practices in accounting and finance while ensuring quality and compliance with established standards.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance-related role with responsibilities aligned to a Managerial level
Strong understanding of IAS and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
Solid understanding of financial processes including budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experienced with accounting software
Education and Experience
Must be a fully qualified and locally warranted Accountant
