Finance Manager
Central Malta | €60,000 - €65,000 Annually
Our client, a well-established family office in Malta is looking for a Finance Manager to join their close-knit and dynamic team.
Main responsibilities
Provide commercial and financial oversight of investments, ensuring decisions are supported by thorough financial analysis.
Review and challenge business plans, financial models, and key assumptions from prospective and existing investees.
Monitor post-investment performance and track compliance with agreed financial and operational targets.
Support directors in assessing strategic initiatives, funding needs, and risk exposure.
Oversee and review monthly management accounts across all investment and operating entities within the group.
Analyse financial results to identify variances, trends, and key performance drivers.
Assess investment performance against approved business plans, budgets, and return expectations.
Lead the full financial due diligence process for new investments and acquisitions.
Review and evaluate financial, legal, and commercial documentation relating to prospective investments.
Coordinate with external advisors throughout due diligence processes
Ensure accurate documentation, necessary approvals, and effective post-acquisition financial and administrative integration
Review monthly accounts of various entities and assist with account preparation where required.
Support corporate governance activities, including timely submission of statutory filings and preparation for board meetings.
Attend selected board meetings and assist with minute-taking and related administrative processes.
Assist directors in developing and implementing new ideas and initiatives across different entities.
Prepare reports and presentations for board-level and principal reporting purposes.
Liaise with banking institutions on matters such as account opening, maintenance, and relationship management.
Manage local and international tax-related matters.
Coordinate with international team members to facilitate completion of cross-border tasks.
Requirements
3–5 years’ experience in finance or accounting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Motivated to grow within an investment-focused environment, with the ambition to progress into directorship responsibilities over time.
Education and Experience
Fully qualified accountant (warranted or equivalent).
