A client of ours specialised within the retail, hospitality and import/supply industries is urgently looking to onboard a Finance Manager to join their team. The designated person will be the most senior Finance person in the team, reporting to/working closely with the Company Directors.
Duties:
Oversee daily operations of the accounts department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial activities
Manage and supervise accounts staff, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and training
Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Ensure timely preparation of bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies as required and necessary
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections
Manage and oversee all cash flow processes.
Prepare schedules, documentation, and reports required for external audits
Coordinate audit planning, respond to auditor queries, and ensure timely closure of audit findings
Implement and improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls
Continuously nurture and develop rapports with various stakeholders, also overseeing Insurance and Bank related matters as required
Provide financial insights and reports to senior management to support decision-making, handling escalated financial issues and resolving discrepancies efficiently and in a timely manner
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years working in a similar senior position
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Education and Experience
Must be a fully qualified and locally warranted Accountant
